Hello! What would I like you to know about me?
Well, here’s my life in a nutshell.

I have been married to my best friend for 36 years, and it has been an adventure! We have lived in several parts of the world and have a lifetime of memories from each one. We recently bought a house in Balaton that we are enjoying making our home. We have been blessed with six children, three from our union, and three by adoption. We have also been foster parents and mentors to young families. Three little boys and one baby girl call me Grandma Sarah, and being their grandma warms my heart.
If you know the pain of infertility or miscarriage, I can empathize with you as we said good-bye to six little ones after overcoming secondary infertility. I have a special place in my heart for parents who desire to grow their families after loss. I have attended dozens of births as a doula and a midwife assistant. Each birth is unique, and it is my joy to serve mothers and fathers during the life changing event of birth.
I have trained with D.O.N.A., Spinning Babies, Body Ready Method, and graduated from Birth Assistant Education in Washington. In addition, I’ve done courses on infant loss, trauma, VBAC, and postpartum care. I am also a CLC and can help with getting you started on your breastfeeding journey if that is what you choose. Yet, I believe that truly caring for and supporting parents are the best part of doula service that I gladly provide for parents. Also, I am a Christian. I am a Christian who will serve you no matter your religion, or lack thereof. I am not shy about praying (if asked), but I will respect your wishes to not do so. I do believe each birth is a miracle! So, now that you know some basics about me, I would love to know all about you and how I can serve you as a birth doula!
Joyfully,
Sarah
